At J.S. Ibrows & Spa, our advanced skincare menu includes microneedling, nano needling, BioRePeel and HydraFacial treatments.
Each treatment works differently, which makes understanding your skin and its current condition an important part of choosing where to begin.

Microneedling
A Treatment for Skin Texture, Fine Lines & Acne Scars
Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the body's natural repair process. It is commonly used to improve the appearance of certain acne scars, fine lines and uneven skin texture.
It is not a treatment that should be booked without considering your skin's condition. Active infections, inflamed skin and certain medical conditions may make microneedling unsuitable. The depth of treatment, the products used and the aftercare required also affect the experience.
Following a session, some redness, tightness and sensitivity are expected. Clients should follow their provider's aftercare instructions and protect the treated skin from unnecessary irritation and sun exposure.

Nano Needling
A Gentler Approach to Skin Rejuvenation
Nano needling is a superficial skincare treatment that uses very fine tips to work on the outermost layers of the skin. It is often chosen by people interested in improving the appearance of dullness and surface texture without the deeper needle penetration associated with microneedling.
Although the names sound similar, nano needling and microneedling are not interchangeable. They work at different depths and have different intended effects.
If you are unsure which treatment is appropriate, discussing your skin concerns and sensitivity with an esthetician is a sensible starting point.

BioRePeel
Chemical Exfoliation for a Fresher-Looking Complexion
BioRePeel is a professional chemical peel treatment used to address concerns such as dullness, uneven-looking skin tone and surface texture. Chemical exfoliation works by encouraging the removal of damaged surface skin cells, although the degree of exfoliation depends on the formulation and treatment protocol.
Before choosing a peel, it is important to consider your skin's sensitivity, current skincare products and any recent treatments. Certain ingredients, including prescription retinoids and other exfoliating products, may need special consideration.
Some clients experience redness, dryness or peeling after chemical treatments. The likelihood and severity of these effects vary, and professional guidance is important when deciding whether a peel is appropriate.

HydraFacial
Cleansing, Exfoliation & Hydration in One Treatment
A HydraFacial combines several skincare steps in one appointment, including cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and the application of hydrating solutions.
It may appeal to clients whose main concerns include clogged pores, dryness or a lack of radiance. The products and treatment steps should be selected with the client's skin condition and sensitivity in mind.
A HydraFacial is different from microneedling or a chemical peel, so choosing between them should begin with what you want to address rather than simply selecting the most advanced-sounding treatment.
Choosing a Treatment That Suits Your Skin
The best skincare treatment is not necessarily the strongest one. Skin type, previous treatments, current products and personal goals all influence what may be appropriate.
At J.S. Ibrows & Spa, clients can explore a range of facial and advanced skincare services at our Indianapolis and Bloomington locations. Contact our team to discuss the available options, preparation requirements and what to expect after treatment.
